Intrabank Transfer Disclosure

Last Updated: May 1, 2026

Overview

What Are Intrabank Transfers?

Intrabank transfers, also known as book transfers, move funds between accounts held at the same bank. When you transfer funds between accounts within the SkyFi network, both accounts are held at Grasshopper Bank, N.A., enabling instant settlement.

Because these transfers occur within the same banking institution, they do not require external clearing networks like ACH or Fedwire. This enables immediate settlement with real-time confirmation.

Key Features

What Makes Intrabank Transfers Unique

Instant Settlement

Funds are immediately debited from the sending account and credited to the receiving account with real-time confirmation.

No Transfer Fees

Transfers between accounts within the SkyFi network have no fees — between your own accounts or to other SkyFi holders.

24/7 Availability

Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays. No business day restrictions or cutoff times.

Real-Time Confirmation

Both sending and receiving parties see immediate balance updates and receive confirmation as soon as the transfer completes.

Process

How Intrabank Transfers Work

Eligible Accounts

  • Your own accounts within SkyFi
  • Accounts belonging to different SkyFi account holders
  • Business accounts held at Grasshopper Bank through the SkyFi platform

Transfer Processing Steps

  1. 1System verifies sufficient funds in the sending account
  2. 2Funds are immediately debited from the sending account
  3. 3Funds are immediately credited to the receiving account
  4. 4Both parties receive real-time confirmation
  5. 5Transaction appears in account history immediately

Reconciliation

Managing liquidity across multiple accounts
Funding specific accounts for planned disbursements
Limits & Requirements

Limits and Restrictions

No Transaction or Daily Limits

Intrabank (program-to-program) transfers within the SkyFi network are unlimited — there is no per-transaction cap, no daily limit, and no monthly cap. Because settlement occurs entirely within Grasshopper Bank, N.A., these transfers do not require identity verification and are not subject to the outbound ACH or wire limit thresholds.

Account Requirements

  • Sending account must have sufficient available funds
  • Both accounts must be active and in good standing
  • You must have appropriate permissions for the sending account
  • Receiving account must be able to accept incoming transfers

SkyFi reserves the right to apply compliance holds on individual transfers if unusual activity is detected, regardless of the absence of standing limits.

vs. Wire Transfers

Unlike wire transfers, intrabank transfers:

  • Are limited to SkyFi network accounts
  • Settle instantly like wires, but at no cost
